Knitivity Appeal

Our newly launched 'Knitivity' Christmas fundraiser has invited people countrywide who knit and/or crochet to take on creating one, or all, of three Christmas characters, Beau the Elf, Monty the Reindeer and Dr Claus in support of Beaumont Hospital!

The resulting knitted decorative figures will be sold in attractive gift bags, along with a card identifying the name and county of origin of each knitter to acknowledge and personalise their contribution. The characters will be sold from the hospital and in coming weeks, online at www.beaumontfundraising.ie. Beaumont Hospital Foundation is also encouraging people who are knitting countrywide to sell their characters locally at Christmas fairs and other festive events and remit the funds raised to the hospital.

When people sign-up to support 'Knitivity', they are sent patterns for each of the characters, ID cards to provide their name and county info, fabric ‘Knitivity’ labels to be sewn on to each character and Freepost mailing bags to return their work.

If you would like to get involved, contact Beaumont Hospital Foundation on 01 – 809 2457 or email us at hello@beaumont.ie.

Haven Pharmacies Supporting Knitivity

Huge thanks to Haven Pharmacies who are supporting our Knitivity project. Staff in their 54 stores countryside will be encouraging customers to get involved by knitting for the hospital and their shops will also act as drop off points for the finished characters.

If there is a Haven Pharmacy near you, (for list click here) you can drop your completed characters to the store and your knits will then be sold in your local community and all proceeds sent to us.

The staff in Haven Pharmacies will have a supply of our Kntivity gift bags and when you drop your work there, they will pop them in a Knitivity bag, along with your ID card, and sell them from their stores for €14.95 with 100% of sales being returned to Beaumont Hospital.
