Clinics A & B in our outpatients department were delighted to receive ten new height adjustable, hyraulic examination beds with safety rails. Before their arrival, elderly and disabled patients had to clamber on to stationary, wooden examination tables which had no safety rails.

Patients needed assistance to get on to the beds and there was always the constant danger of someone falling off. €14,000 in funding from Beaumont Foundation has purchased ten new beds which can be lowered to the ground for easy access and then raised to examination level with the saftey rails in place. They deliver a huge improvement in patient care to the clinics.
